Nothing is Working - Electric Range

Possible Solutions

New installation or electrical connection?

If this appliance was newly installed, check the following to ensure the power supply was connected correctly:

  • Strain relief is tightened against the power supply cord.
  • All terminal wires are in the correct locations (colors match).
  • Hex nuts on the terminal block posts are secure and tightened.

Check the installation instructions for complete details.

Has a household circuit breaker tripped or the fuse blown?

Ensure a household fuse has not blown or a circuit breaker has tripped. If necessary, reset the circuit breaker or replace the fuse.

Has a recent power outage occurred?

During a power outage, if the control detects an unexpected amount of power supply line "noise" as an incorrect voltage amount, it could display the F9 or F9 E0 error code. Also, if any keys are pressed before the 10-second delay interval on power-up, the F9 or F9 E0 could appear.

If a recent power outage has occurred, turn off the household circuit breaker for the range for one (1) minute.  Then, reset the circuit breaker and monitor the range for one (1) minute to ensure the error code does not display again.  Verify range operation is normal.

Is the control lock on?

The control lock on a range is intended to "lock" the control from unintended use. This is perfect for households with children who like to touch buttons so the range cannot be turned on accidentally or turned off when running.

Is the control set for a delayed start?

The oven can be set for a bake function with a Delayed Start, meaning the function will not start until the start time is reached.

Cancel the control and restart the bake function.

Is the appliance in Demo Mode?

Some ovens may be equipped with a demo mode feature. Demo Mode allows you to explore various features and options on your appliance without turning on all the functionality (e.g., turning on the heating elements). If your appliance is in Demo Mode, it will say "Try the Product," "View Product Video," or "Showroom Mode" on display after powering on. To disable Demo Mode, follow the on-screen prompts or reference the appliance Control Guide.

Is the display blank?

If the range is in Energy Save mode (select models), the display will be blank when not in use.

The Energy Save mode puts the range into sleep mode and reduces energy consumption.

To Deactivate the Energy Save Mode:

  1. Press and hold SETTINGS/CLOCK for 3 seconds.  "Energy saver off" will appear in the display.
  2. The clock will reappear in the display and the range can be operated as usual.

To Activate the Energy Save Mode:

  1. Press and hold SETTINGS/CLOCK for 3 seconds.  "Energy saver on" will appear in the display.
  2. The setting will be activated after 5 minutes.

Refer to the Owner's Manual for detailed instructions.
