Dryer is Not Turning On - Commercial Dryer
Possible Solutions
Has a fuse blown or a circuit tripped?
There may be 2 household fuses or circuit breakers for the dryer. Ensure both fuses are intact and tight, or that neither circuit breaker has tripped. Replace the fuse(s) or reset the circuit breaker(s). If the problem continues, call an electrician.
- Electric dryers require a 240-volt power supply. Check with a qualified electrician.
- Gas Dryers require a 120-volt, 3-prong, properly polarized, grounded, and dedicated outlet. Contact a qualified electrician for assistance.
Is the unit connected to the correct power supply?
The power supply cord may be incorrectly installed. If the power cord is incorrectly installed, the dryer may not start or heat. Review the Installation Instructions to check that the power supply cord is properly installed.
For electric dryers, the wall plug will look like one of the two options below. If you do not have this type of wall plug, you will need to contact a qualified electrician if you are using an electric dryer.
Verify that the plug has been inserted all the way into the wall outlet.
