F31 - Error Code - Dryer

Possible Solutions

Control displaying F31:

An L2 (Low or No Line Voltage) Error code indicates that there may be a problem with your home power supply, keeping the dryer's heater from turning on.

Have you checked your home circuit breakers?

Electric dryers require a separate 30-amp circuit fused on both sides of the line. This means there will be 2 circuit breakers to operate the dryer. One circuit will operate the motor (turning the dryer drum), while the other circuit will operate the heating element. If one of these is tripped, the dryer may not heat. Check that both circuit breakers operating the dryer are not tripped.

Power Supply Cord Installed Correctly?

Electric dryers require a 240-volt power supply. If you do not have 240-volt, your electric dryer will not operate correctly. Check with a qualified electrician. Ensure the power cord is properly installed; refer to your installation instructions and reference the videos below for 3 and 4-wire installation.  Also, ensure the terminal screws are tight at the dryer, and unplug the dryer before checking the terminal screws.
