Getting the Best Drying Performance from a HybridCare Dryer

Whirlpool HybridCare™ Heat Pump Drying Performance

Getting the Best Drying Performance:

A typical dryer uses large amounts of energy; this dryer consumes a fraction of the energy in the form of hot, moist air. The HybridCare™ dryer is a ventless heat pump dryer that uses a refrigeration system to dry and recycle the same air. The laundry is dried at low temperatures; therefore, it may feel cooler than expected during and after the drying process. Heat pump dryers' heating phase is longer than that of traditional dryers. For the first 10 to 20 minutes, use little or no heat during drying. If possible, do not open the dryer door during the process, as heat can escape from the drum and can make longer drying times.

HybridCare™ energy options

Please note the Energy Options that are available - using these will affect the dry time:

  • Speed: Select this option to save time, but it uses more energy.
  • Balanced: Use this option to blend between cycle time and energy savings.
  • Eco: Eco is the default option for all cycles, which allows you to increase your energy savings by using a lower heat level. This will increase dry times.
NOTE: Energy savings may vary across loads and cycles.
