NOTE: The Wrinkle Prevent or Wrinkle Shield Option is a feature available on select Whirlpool dryers.

Was the feature turned on?

The wrinkle prevent feature must be selected to activate. Not all cycles work with the wrinkle prevent option. The wrinkle prevent feature works by intermittently tumbling for 90 minutes, after the drying cycle completes, preventing fabric from settling and creasing during the cooldown phase.

When using the Wrinkle Prevent Option, avoid common mistakes such as overloading the dryer. Excessive loads can hinder the tumbling action, reducing the wrinkle prevention feature's effectiveness. Additionally, don't leave clothes in the dryer for too long after the cycle completes, as new wrinkles can form. Promptly remove garments once the cycle ends to maximize this setting's benefits.

Power on the Dryer
Select the desired cycle.
Select "Wrinkle Prevent" or "Wrinkle Shield" to enable this modifier.
Start the cycle.

Not all cycle selections can be used with the wrinkle-prevent feature, depending on your model. Typically, most automatic cycles can be used with the feature, but timed cycles may not be available. See the cycle guide or Owner's Manual for additional information.
