Door will not unlock - Front Load Washer
Possible Solution
Was the washer just installed?
In some circumstances, your new washer may arrive with the door locked. This can occur from the normal shipping movement.

Were you using a "Fresh Hold" cycle (available on some models)?
When using one of these cycles, the door will remain locked until the cancel button is pushed. This is normal. If the washer does not unlock at the end of a wash cycle, unplug the appliance or disconnect power. Wait approximately 2 minutes for control to reset.
Is the door locked at the end of wash cycle?
- Water remaining in washer after cycle. Select DRAIN & SPIN to remove any water remaining in the washer. The washer door will unlock at the end of the drain.
- TumbleFresh™ option is on. While this option is on, the load is tumbled periodically for up to 6 hours. The door remains locked during this time. To unlock the door, cancel the option by touching POWER.
