Thumping Noise - Front Load Washer

Possible Solutions

Does it occur during slow spin speeds?

If the noise only occurs briefly at slow/low spin speeds, this may be caused by the bellows and its part of normal operation.

Were the Shipping Bolts removed at installation?

It is necessary to remove all shipping materials for proper operation and to avoid excessive noise from the washer.

Are all 4 feet making firm contact with the floor?

Front and rear feet must be in firm contact with the floor, and washer must be level to operate correctly. Grip washer from top and rock back and forth, making sure all four feet are firmly on the floor. Repeat, rocking washer from side to side. If washer rocks, adjust the leveling feet per the installation instructions. If all four feet are in firm contact with the floor, tighten the jam nuts against the base of the washer. Jam nuts must be tight against the bottom of the cabinet.

Is the Washer Level?

The washer must be level, or it will vibrate. Check the floor for flexing or sagging. Do not install the washer on a raised wooden platform.
