Are you using the correct cycle selection?

Depending on the model, you can customize your cycle selection by changing the the spin speed, water temperature and soil level. Always follow the instructions on the care label of the garment before washing in your machine.

Suggestion: If warmer water temperatures are safe for the fabrics being washed, use hot or warm washes. Check the garment fabric care labels for temperature recommendations. Using the wrong temperature on specific garments can lead to discoloration.

Are the load items discolored?

Dye transfer can occur when mixing colors in a load.

Are you using HE High-Efficiency detergent?

The use of non-HE detergent can cause film residue. Use only HE detergent.

Use the Extra Power button

The Extra Power button boosts stain-fighting on any wash cycle with an intense pre-wash and extra agitation. It is only available on some models.

Is the washer overloaded?

Place a load of sorted items loosely in the washer. Items need to move freely for the best cleaning and to reduce wrinkling and tangling. You may need to reduce your load size. Avoid tightly packing the washer. The washer will not rinse thoroughly or spin correctly if tightly packed.
