How to Level your Whirlpool Top Load Washer

Is the Washer Level?

If the washer is not level, water can splash off the top of the basket or the load. If the washer cabinet leans too far forward, the interior basket may also seem to be shifted forward. Make sure that all four front feet are installed, the washer is level front to back and side to side.

  • Plastic Feet: Turn the feet either clockwise to lower the feet or counter clockwise to raise the feet.
  • Metal Feet: Turn the feet either clockwise to lower the feet or counter clockwise to raise the feet.
  • Ensure the lock nuts on the feet are tight against the bottom of the cabinet.
