Excessive Detergent or Suds

Possible Solutions

Are you using HE or High-Efficiency Detergent?

Use only HE or High-Efficiency detergent. Always measure detergent. If you have very soft water, you may need to use less detergent, and using non-HE detergent or more than the manufacturer's recommended amount of detergent can cause excessive suds. The excess suds can cause the washer to run at a reduced spin speed, resulting in very wet loads or error codes.

Did you use "no splash" or "easy-pour" liquid chlorine bleach?

This type of liquid chlorine bleach contains a thickening agent that may create excess suds in washers. If this is the case, run the washer with regular liquid bleach products.

Does the washer needt to be cleaned?

Run the Clean Washer cycle every month to maintain washer freshness. This procedure helps keep odors from developing in your washer. The Clean Washer cycle uses higher water volumes in combination with affresh® washer cleaner or liquid chlorine bleach to clean the inside of the washer.
