Won't Turn On - Air Conditioner
Possible Solutions
Is the power supply cord plugged in?
Ensure the air conditioner is plugged into a grounded 3 prong outlet. See “Electrical Requirements" in the Owner's Manual for additional information.
Is a time-delay fuse being used?
If a time-delay fuse or circuit breaker of the wrong capacity is being used, it could cause the air conditioner to not turn on. Replace with a time-delay fuse or circuit breaker of the correct capacity. See “Electrical Requirements" in the Owner's Manual for additional information.
Has the power supply cord tripped?
If the power supply cord has tripped (Reset button has popped out); press and release RESET (listen for click; Reset button will latch and remain in) to resume operation.
Is a household fuse or circuit breaker tripped or blown?
If a household fuse has blown, or a circuit breaker has tripped, replace the fuse, or reset the circuit breaker. If the problem continues, call an electrician. See “Electrical Requirements" in the Owner's Manual for additional information.
Is the air conditioner turned on?
Depending on the model, ensure the Power button has been pressed (turned on) and/or the Fan Speed control is turned to On. Press the POWER button or turn the Fan Speed control to an active setting. For specific information on how to use the controls on your air conditioner, see your Owner's Manual.
