Alarm Sound - Chest Freezer

Possible Solutions

The Temperature Alarm, Over Temperature Alarm, or Door Ajar Alarm, is the different types of alarms that might be equipped on your freezer.  Please see your "Owner's Manual" for the specific type of alarm on your freezer.

Temperature Alarm

The temperature alarm is located below the temperature control and sounds an audible buzzing alarm if the freezer temperature reaches 10°F (-12°C) or more above the normal for your selected temperature setting. A 3-position switch controls the alarm. 

How do you change the alarm settings?

To change the temperature alarm settings:

  • Press the switch to the right to Test the Alarm 
  • Press the switch to the left to turn the alarm feature "On."
  • Move the switch to the Center to turn the alarm "Off."

Press the switch to the right to Test the Alarm  Press the switch to the left to turn the alarm feature "On" Move to the switch to the Center to turn the alarm "Off".
