Door Alarm Noise - Undercounter Refrigerator

Possible Solutions

Has the door been open for 5 minutes?

If the door is open longer than 5 minutes, an alarm will sound every 2 minutes until all drawers or doors are closed or any control is pressed.

Is the door completely closed?

If the door is not completely closed and not making contact with the door switch, the door alarm may trigger.   If the door on your  under-counter refrigerator, beverage center, or wine cooler will not close, check the following:

  • Check for food packages or beverage bottles that may be blocking or preventing the door from closing.  If this is the case, rearrange containers so that they fit more tightly and take up less space.
  • Check that the shelves or racks are in the proper position.  If the racks or shelves are not pushed or in, it's in the correct position, and it may cause the door not to close properly.  For additional information on shelf and rack placement and adjustment, see "Shelving" in your Owner's Manual.
  • Check the refrigerator is level.  Your refrigerator has four leveling legs. If your refrigerator seems unsteady and to make sure the doors close securely, adjust the refrigerator's tilt by following the instructions in your "Owner's Manual."
