Ice Cube Test

Is the ice maker making the correct amount of ice?

To determine if the ice maker is making the correct amount of ice a cube count test can be performed.

Cube Count Test

  1. Completely empty the ice bin
  2. Wait 24 hours (do not use and/or dispense any ice during this time)
  3. Remove the ice bin and count the ice cubes

This type of ice maker should produce 56 - 72 cubes, during normal operating conditions. If the cube count test results within the normal range the ice maker is working correctly. It can take up to 2 - 3 days (depending on usage) to completely fill the ice bin.
