Using Load & Go Dispenser

Possible Solution

Using the Load & Go™ Detergent Dispenser on your Whirlpool Top Load Washer

The Load & Go™ Dispenser is an innovative feature designed to simplify your laundry routine by eliminating the need to measure and pour detergent for every wash. Fill the dispenser once, and enjoy up to 20 loads without the hassle of constant refilling. It automatically dispenses the correct amount of detergent, ensuring optimal cleaning performance while saving you time and effort. Say goodbye to messy spills and hello to a more efficient and streamlined laundry experience. Discover how the Load & Go Detergent Dispenser is transforming laundry, making it easier than ever to keep your clothes fresh and clean.

Reminder: Review the Owner's Manual for specific information for your model.

To Turn on the Load & Go feature

Simply press the Load & Go™ button on the front console, and the light will turn on, indicating the feature is activated. To disable the Load & Go™ system and use only a single dose of HE detergent, press the Load & Go™ button until the light turns off. Pour the measured amount of liquid HE detergent into the single-dose detergent dispenser. The detergent will be dispensed at the optimum time during the wash cycle.

Do's

  • Use only High-Efficiency (HE) liquid detergents. Regular detergent (non-HE) will likely result in longer cycle times and reduced rinsing performance.
  • Ensure the concentration level is adjusted to the correct setting.
  • Refill when the drawer is visibly low. The Load & Go™ dispenser holds enough detergent to last approximately 14 loads.
  • Clean the dispenser, as part of you regular maintenance routine

Don'ts

  • Place single-dose laundry packets or powder detergent into the dispenser. Add single-dose laundry packets or powder detergent directly to the washer basket.
  • Use single-dose detergent and the Load & Go™ detergent dispenser simultaneously; this will result in oversudsing.

Maintenance and Care for Your Load & Go Detergent Dispenser

Regular maintenance is key to keeping your Load & Go Detergent Dispenser clean and functional. To clean the dispenser, remove any remaining detergent and use warm water to clean the inside and outside of the dispenser.

If you encounter common issues, such as the dispenser not releasing detergent, check to ensure it is properly filled and the detergent you’re using is compatible with the dispenser and is not clogged.  If the problem persists, consult your user manual for specific troubleshooting steps or contact Whirlpool customer support for assistance.

Use HE High-Efficiency detergent

Always use only HE detergent. Using non-HE detergent or more than the manufacturer's recommended amount of detergent can cause excessive suds, which can lead to the washer leaking, draining concerns, and/or poor rinsing performance.

Whirlpool recommends using Swash® Laundry Detergent. It is designed to work in both high-efficiency (HE) and non-HE washing machines. With an 8x concentrated formula, you’ll use about a quarter of the detergent you’d need with a traditional 2x concentration detergent. It may look like a small amount, but you’ll be amazed at its effectiveness.

Flipping the detergent world on its cap.

Just flip it, squeeze it, and start your laundry cycle. With this easy squeeze, you get the right amount and the clean you want every time.
