Are there brown stains?
Does your water have a high iron content? Brown stains are likely due to a high iron content in the water supply. Follow the steps below, In order to remove stains:
- Use affresh® Dishwasher Cleaner in the covered section of the detergent dispenser and re-wash dishes (remove food soils that may be present in tub or filter basket/ screen). DO NOT use detergent for the re-wash.
- After the re-wash has completed follow with a normal wash cycle and add detergent only.
- If treatment is needed more often than once a month, the installation of an iron removal unit is recommended.
Are the filtration basket, and screen showing signs of residue build-up of any color?
Another step against stains or residue build-up of any color is the rinsing of your filter basket and screen under running water until you remove the excess soils standing. Also, follow your user guide's recommended time intervals to clean your unit and filter assembly to avoid soil build-up.
