Not Starting or Operating - Portable Dishwasher

Possible Solutions

The dishwasher could be in Standby or Sleep Mode?

  • Be sure you have disabled Sleep Mode by pressing either START/RESUME or CANCEL.
  • Also opening and closing the door can be done before selecting your cycle/option to be ready for operation.

Is the power supply properly connected to the dishwasher?

  • For a plug-in power cord, make sure it is properly plugged in.
  • If the unit is direct wired, make sure that the wiring has been properly connected to the unit. Refer to the installation instruction for proper direct wiring instructions.

Has a household fuse blown or circuit breaker tripped?

If power is properly connected to the unit:

  • Check your household electrical box to see if a fuse has blown or if the circuit breaker has tripped.
  • It is not recommended to plug a dishwasher into an outlet with a wall switch that must be in the ON position to supply power to the outlet.
  • Locate another outlet or direct wire the dishwasher to the home power supply.

Has a delay wash option been selected?

With the delay wash option selected:

  • The dishwasher cycle starts at a later time or during off-peak electrical hours.
  •  Will NOT run until the delay time is reached.

To Turn Off the Delay Wash Feature:

  • Press CANCEL/DRAIN to cancel the delay. Then press START/RESUME to start a cycle without a delay.

Is the door completely closed and latched?

  • Make sure that the door is completely closed and latched.
  • A lower dish rack that is installed backward can also cause the door to not latch properly.
  • The dishwasher may be overloaded with dishes, not allowing the door to close and latch.

Is the water supply turned on to the dishwasher?

  • Make sure the dishwasher water supply is turned on.

Has the motor stopped due to an overload?

  • The motor automatically resets itself within a few minutes, if this occurs.
  • Allow the dishwasher time to do so if it does not restart.

Cycle power to the control to reset the dishwasher:

Much like all machines/ appliances, resetting the dishwasher control can sometimes solve the issues you are experiencing.

To reset the dishwasher control panel, it needs to be disconnected from the power source for one minute.

  • For a dishwasher that is plugged into an outlet:
    • Simply unplug the unit for one minute.
    • Then plug it back in.
  • If the dishwasher is hard-wired to the power supply:
    • Turn the breaker off at the home's electrical panel that powers the dishwasher, for one minute.
    • Then turn the breaker back on.
