F0E2 Error Code
F0E2 Error Code
Potential Cause: Over Suds Detection
Troubleshooting:
- Ensure HE Detergent is being used
- Use the correct amount of detergent
- Regularly clean the washer
Did you use High Efficiency (HE) detergent?
Use only High Efficiency (HE) detergent. Using non-HE detergent or more than the manufacturer's recommended amount of soap can cause excessive suds. The excess suds can cause the washer to run at a reduced spin speed, resulting in very wet loads. It can also increase the cycle time due to increased rinses trying to eliminate the suds.
-
If you see "Sud" or "Sd" with the Rinse status light on, the washer is removing suds. Let the cycle continue.
-
If you see "Sud" or "Sd" and the Cycle Complete light is on, the washer detected too many suds during the cycle, and your load may not be thoroughly rinsed, or water may not be entirely removed. You may want to select a Rinse/Spin cycle for further rinsing.
How much detergent should I use?
HE detergents come in many different concentration levels, such as 2x, 4x, and 8x. Following the detergent manufacturer's dosage amount is important based on soil level and load size. Too much detergent can lead to longer cycle times, oversudsing, poor rinsing, and poor cleaning performance.
Detergent pacs also come in different sizes; larger pre-measured ones should only be used for large or heavily soiled loads.
Older laundry detergents, especially powdered detergent, do not dissolve well in the washer. Keep detergent containers closed to extend the shelf life. If your detergent is not always dissolving, replace it with new detergent. Always use only HE High-Efficiency detergent in your High-Efficiency machine.
If you have a Whirlpool washing machine that has a bulk dispenser, ensure you change the concentration level to mirror the type of detergent that is being used.
Don't forget to clean your washer.
Clean your washer once a month using the Clean Washer cycle with affresh® or another method per your Owner's Manual. This will eliminate any detergent residue that may be left inside the washer. For step-by-step instructions on how to clean your Whirlpool washer, view Cleaning Washers with affresh
Is the bulk dispenser being used?
If your washing machine has a bulk dispenser feature, check the following:
- Is the bulk dispenser enabled? If it is, there is no need to add additional detergent to the load. Doing so could cause excessive suds.
- What is the concentration level set to? It is essential to understand detergent concentration, as you need to input this into the machine. If the concentration level is set correctly, it could cause additional suds.
