Using Flood Safe Devices on a Whirlpool Washer

Whirlpool recommends that appliances be direct connected to the water supply for optimum machine performance.
However, if a "flood saver" device is being considered:
Check with the manufacturer of the device to ensure it will not affect the performance of the appliance.
Whirlpool has experienced that "flood safety" devices can interfere with the performance of the appliance.
There are two types of "flood-saver" devices, hoses and valves are illustrated below.
