Outside of Cabinet Feels Warm
Possible Solutions
Is it a regular operation of the refrigerator?
At times, the refrigerator exterior may feel even warmer than usual, especially where the gaskets meet the frame. These areas are the mullion and cabinet flanges. This heat is generated by a heat loop located within the refrigerator walls near the gasket areas. This heat is necessary to keep moisture and frost from forming on the refrigerator exterior. This could last up to 24 hours.

Does the condenser need to be cleaned?
Clean the condenser coils regularly. Depending on the operating environment, coils may need to be cleaned as often as every other month. If the environment is particularly greasy or dusty or there is significant pet traffic in the house, the condenser may need to be cleaned every other month.
If the condenser does need to be cleaned:
- Unplug the refrigerator.
- Open the refrigerator door.
- Remove the base grille by removing 2 Phillips-head screws and pulling the grille toward you.
- Use a vacuum cleaner with a soft brush to clean the grille, the open areas behind the grille, and the front surface area of the condenser.
- Replace the base grille when finished.
- Plug in the refrigerator or reconnect power.
