Having correct water pressure will help with proper water dispensing and ice production. If you suspect you might have decreased the water pressure, check the following:
- To operate the ice maker properly, a cold water supply with water pressure between 30 and 120 psi (207-827 kPa).
- Make sure that the water shutoff valve is fully opened.
- Make sure the water supply line is not kinked. A kinked water line will reduce water flow.
- Check the water filter. If the water filter is clogged, it will decrease the water pressure.
- Using a reverse-osmosis system.

Tips for Using a Reverse-Osmosis System
Connecting a refrigerator to a reverse-osmosis system could also lower the water pressure to the refrigerator, resulting in small ice cubes or low ice production.
- The water pressure to the reverse-osmosis system should be at least 40-60 psi (275-414 kPa).
- If connected to a reverse-osmosis system, the following items may improve the water pressure:
- Allow the storage tank for the reverse-osmosis system to refill after heavy use.
- If the refrigerator also has a water filter, remove it.
- Make sure the sediment filter in the reverse-osmosis system is not blocked and replace if necessary.
