Leaking from Bottom Front - Freestanding Ice Maker

Possible Solutions

Is the water leaking from any of the connection points?

Check all connection points in the water supply line.  Tighten any connections that leak, including connections at the valve or nuts.  Click the link below to see illustrations of the connection points.

Is the water supply line installed correctly?

Ensure the water supply line is installed correctly, and the correct tubing is used.  We recommend using copper tubing or Whirlpool supply line, Part Number 8212547RP. Using any other type of cold water supply line could cause odd/off-tasting ice. Check all the connection points for leaks.

Are all the clamps installed and secure?

Check to make sure all provided hose clamps are installed and tight. Clamps that are not secured properly could leak and cause draining concerns.

Ensure all provided hose clamps of drain tube (i.e. 2 adjustable hose clamps, drain tube, and drain pump reservoir inlet) are installed and tight.

Is the ice maker level?

It is important for the ice maker to be level to work properly. Depending upon where you install the ice maker, you may need to make several adjustments to level it. You may also use the leveling legs to lower the height of the ice maker for under-counter installations.
